LOGLINE: In 1987 Brooklyn, two NYPD detectives investigating a warehouse massacre uncover a corrupt police crew working with organized crime, forcing them to confront betrayal inside the badge while a returning threat quietly infiltrates one detective’s home.

Set in 1987, Rising Star III follows detectives Logan Ford and Malik Edwards as they investigate the execution-style killing of seven mobsters in a Brooklyn warehouse. What first appears to be a turf war between rival crime bosses Carlo Beretti and Alfonso Conti soon points to something far more dangerous: a crew of corrupt police officers led by Ronnie Jackson, using their badges to protect Conti’s Rising Star operation and eliminate anyone who threatens it.

Still carrying trauma from the Denton case, Logan is drinking, emotionally fraying, and struggling to hold his marriage and family together. Malik, meanwhile, faces escalating hostility inside the department after Jackson exposes and weaponises his sexuality. As the case deepens, the partnership fractures, with Logan appearing to drift toward Jackson’s corrupt circle while Malik is left increasingly isolated in his pursuit of the truth.

The investigation collides with gangland retaliation, police brutality, blackmail and betrayal, while Tilly Foster — a surviving threat from Rising Star II — quietly inserts herself into Logan’s household under the guise of a childminder. As corruption spreads from the streets into the station and finally into Logan’s home, the detectives are forced to decide what loyalty really means: to the badge, to each other, and to the people they are sworn to protect.
