Biography
Stephen Hall is a screenwriter based in Edinburgh, Scotland. He has been writing screenplays since December 2021 and has completed nine projects to date, including eight feature films and one television screenplay, demonstrating a strong commitment to long-form storytelling and narrative range.

His work has received international recognition, with awards from the Cannes World Film Festival, the RED Movie Awards, and the Austin International Film Festival. His scripts are character-driven and often explore moral tension, identity, and the psychological forces that shape human behaviour.

Stephen’s genre interests are eclectic, with a particular focus on historical narratives, crime stories, and period drama. While grounded in genre conventions, his writing seeks to push beyond them, favouring textured worlds and thematically ambitious storytelling.

Alongside his screenwriting career, Stephen worked as a web developer for over 25 years, a background that informs his disciplined approach to structure, problem-solving, and long-form creative development.
