LOGLINE: Aspiring artist and underachiever Johnny Lyle is invited into the home of elderly widow Aveline De Clare where love and desire come at a price to realise his dreams.

Seventy-year-old Aveline De Clare stands in the chamber of the family mausoleum as the body of her lover Charles is interred while, elsewhere, underachiever and aspiring artist Johnny Lyle is preparing for another night of door-to-door selling of toiletries for a pittance.

​

Stopping at the local corner store where his young neighbour Diane works, he buys some bread which she keeps at her flat for his return then sets off on another night of drudgery.

​

Later, he knocks on the door of Aveline's top floor penthouse which is answered by the elderly lady who invites him in. Relieved to rest his feet, he accepts a cup of tea unaware that she cuts her finger and adds droplets of blood from the wound.

​

During their conversation, she indicates her plan to sell the apartment and could he advise what the property might be worth. Subsequently, she offers him a tour and he discovers an Aladdin's cave of riches in her palatial surroundings.

​

Johnny indicates his need to leave to continue with his work but she offers to buy all his products, which he accepts offering the ability to remain longer. Eventually he leave and on his return to his flat, he is consumed with an energy and imagination to work on his art.

​

The following day, rather than sell more products, Johnny is drawn to visit Aveline where he accepts another cup of tea. They sit and talk till eventually she hypnotises him and explains the power of her blood, her origins and the offer to provide him with his desires. Accepting the opportunity, Aveline clicks her fingers and removes him from her trance.

So begins an erotic blood letting between the couple that leads them into a romantic relationship that returns Aveline's youth and beauty as she guides him on a path to become a successful artist but his neighbour, and secret admirer, Diane, is suspicious of Aveline and stalks Johnny as he is introduced to Aveline's world of the influential rich.
