Characters
Triumvirate 3
Hamidi Abdullahi
Hamidi is a spiritually gifted Re-inc who has lived through repeated cycles of life, carrying memories, supernatural abilities and the burden of protecting humanity from demonic forces. Calm, disciplined and morally grounded, he rarely wastes words and approaches danger with absolute conviction, but his greatest struggle is emotional rather than physical: he has spent too long believing responsibility must be carried alone. In Triumvirate 3, the deaths of Liya and the wider religious catastrophe force him to confront the cost of his endless existence. His journey culminates in the ultimate act of service when he sacrifices his current life to contain Cerberus, knowing that death is not the end of his cycle.

Cathleen Henshaw
Cathleen is a former FBI agent whose scepticism has long since been replaced by hard-earned acceptance of Hamidi’s supernatural world. Direct, sarcastic and operationally minded, she remains the grounded human counterweight to Hamidi’s spiritual certainty, questioning his decisions even while standing beside him. She is fiercely loyal to Hamidi and Meti but never becomes reverential, challenging Hamidi most sharply when his global mission appears to distance him from individual suffering. By the end, Cathleen has evolved from reluctant investigator to trusted partner and surrogate family member, remaining close to Meti long after Hamidi’s death.

Meti Gebre
Meti is Hamidi and Liya’s twelve-year-old daughter and, like her father, a Re-inc whose apparent youth conceals memories accumulated across previous lives. Intelligent, mischievous and increasingly powerful, she combines the humour and enthusiasm of a child with flashes of emotional experience far beyond her years. Her abilities include manipulating perception, creating illusions, teleportation and telekinetic force, all of which develop dramatically during the story. The murder of her mother forces Meti into adulthood emotionally and supernaturally, preparing her to become Hamidi’s successor. Fifteen years later she is a wife and mother in New York, giving birth to Hamilton—the reincarnated Hamidi.

Becky
Becky is the first human guise adopted by Cerberus’s emissary after emerging from the Eureka Mine in Death Valley. Young, attractive and apparently ordinary, she quickly reveals herself to be anything but human when she murders two men at Furnace Creek and survives violence that should kill her. Her curious interest in everyday human life contrasts with her casual brutality, giving her early scenes an unsettling mixture of innocence and menace. Once law enforcement begins searching for her, Becky abandons the identity completely, transforming into the male figure who will become Hart Chepere.

Hart Chepere
Hart Chepere is Cerberus’s charismatic emissary and the public face of the film’s supernatural conspiracy. Charming, theatrical and effortlessly comfortable in front of cameras, Hart rises from obscurity by performing genuine miracles and presenting himself as a compassionate man of faith. His genius lies not in inventing religious hatred but in gradually turning hope into grievance, grievance into division and division into permission for violence. Behind the polished celebrity image is a contemptuous demon who enjoys spectacle, wealth and public adoration. His transformation before a packed Allegiant Stadium finally exposes the monster beneath the preacher.

Cerberus
Cerberus is the ancient demonic power at the centre of Triumvirate 3 and the true force behind Hart Chepere’s campaign. Enormous, grotesque and physically corrupted by the creatures and tortured faces that seem to live within his body, he regards both humanity and lesser demons as instruments rather than equals. Unlike Hart, Cerberus has no need to charm or persuade; his voice is imperious, ancient and absolute. From the Eureka Mine he unleashes demons, the Four Riders and a strategy designed to turn faith against itself. He cannot simply be killed and must instead be contained, forcing Hamidi to sacrifice himself in order to return Cerberus to imprisonment.

Daniel Redbird
Daniel Redbird is a Timbisha Shoshone man living near Furnace Creek whose intuition and familiarity with the desert allow him to recognise that something unnatural has entered his homeland. Practical, observant and quietly spiritual, Daniel begins investigating after realising Becky could not realistically have crossed the desert on foot. His search leads him to the abandoned Eureka Mine, where he encounters evidence of Cerberus before anyone else understands what is there. Although initially dismissed by Ranger Ade Henderson, Daniel ultimately becomes essential to Hamidi’s investigation, guiding the group back to Harrisburg and into Cerberus’s domain.

Noan Barak
Noan Barak is a Mossad agent who appears to be part of the international effort to track Hamidi and Cathleen, but he is secretly one of Cerberus’s demonic operatives. Controlled, professional and dryly confident, he deliberately blends into the world of intelligence agencies rather than behaving like an obvious villain. His true allegiance is revealed in Virginia when he murders CIA agent Sam Clifford and kills Liya before turning on Meti. Noan’s role demonstrates that Cerberus’s reach extends deep inside legitimate institutions, while his death at Meti’s hands marks a major step in the development of her powers.

Pastor Caleb Drake
Pastor Caleb Drake is a sincere evangelical preacher who becomes instrumental in Hart Chepere’s rise to prominence. Warm, enthusiastic and completely convinced of his faith, Caleb initially sees Hart as a miraculous answer to a world in spiritual crisis rather than as a manipulator. He provides Hart with credibility, a congregation and eventually access to enormous audiences, unknowingly helping Cerberus’s plan gain momentum. Caleb’s importance lies in the fact that he is not corrupt: his belief is genuine, making Hart’s exploitation of him far more disturbing than simple complicity.

Pope Adrian VII
Pope Adrian VII is the fictional head of the Catholic Church and one of the few figures who immediately recognises the ancient evil standing before him. Experienced, composed and spiritually resolute, he refuses to be intimidated when Hart appears inside the Vatican and reveals his connection to Cerberus. Their confrontation places institutional faith directly against demonic contempt, with Adrian refusing submission even when faced with certain death. His murder and the subsequent burning of the Vatican become a crucial escalation in Hart’s plan to convince the world that a religious war has begun.

Sam Clifford
Sam Clifford is a CIA operative assigned to pursue Hamidi and Cathleen as international fugitives linked to a series of increasingly inexplicable events. Persistent, practical and driven by procedure, Sam views the supernatural crisis through the framework of intelligence and terrorism rather than mythology. His pursuit across Rome makes him a genuine obstacle to the heroes without making him malicious; from his perspective, he is doing his job. His eventual partnership with Noan proves fatal when the Mossad agent reveals his true allegiance and shoots Sam during the operation at Winston’s house.

Winston Burnie
Winston Burnie is an ex-army veteran and trusted returning ally who provides Hamidi’s family with refuge in rural Virginia. Earthy, humorous and fiercely loyal, Winston brings warmth and ordinary humanity into a story dominated by supernatural danger and global catastrophe. His home briefly becomes a place of safety for Liya and Meti, making the violence that follows all the more painful. Winston treats Hamidi, Cathleen and Meti as family rather than mystical figures, and his practical help after Liya’s death demonstrates the network of human loyalty that supports Hamidi’s larger mission.

Joel Maybury
Joel Maybury is a middle-aged Furnace Creek Ranger whose casual prejudice and dismissive humour help establish the grounded human world before the supernatural violence erupts. He treats Daniel Redbird’s beliefs with contempt, mocking what he sees as superstition and reducing Daniel’s spirituality to “raindance” and “mumbo jumbo.” His attitude makes him abrasive rather than deeply malicious, but it also leaves him completely unprepared for Becky’s true nature. His sudden murder provides the film’s first brutal demonstration that the seemingly ordinary young woman emerging from the desert is something inhuman.

Kelvin Belford
Kelvin Belford is a Furnace Creek local, a more secondary presence who becomes caught in the same encounter with Becky. Less defined by hostility than Joel, Kelvin functions as the ordinary bystander pulled into an event he cannot understand or survive. His death alongside Joel reinforces the speed and casual brutality of Becky’s arrival in the human world, turning what begins as an everyday desert encounter into the first clear evidence of Cerberus’s campaign.
