When a deadly bombing shatters his neighbourhood, a weathered detective discovers a vengeful serial killer is inciting revolution across the city — forcing him to confront a rising body count, and a new generation ready to burn the system down.

Set in 1986. When a SWAT team raids a quiet suburban home, triggering an explosion that rocks the neighborhood, veteran detective Logan Ford finds himself once again at the center of chaos. The house belonged to his neighbor — and the blast signals the return of Peter Denton, a serial killer long thought buried in the aftermath of a previous case. But Denton isn’t just hunting from the shadows. He’s building something: a new wave of revolution fueled by vengeance, ideology, and blood. As bombings sweep the city and political unrest surges, Logan must reckon with a threat that feels deeply personal — and designed to tear down everything he’s sworn to protect.

Meanwhile, Malik Edwards is no longer a rookie riding in Logan’s shadow. As political loyalties fracture and the streets begin to burn, Malik takes his own stand — drawing lines that may place him opposite his former mentor. As Denton’s movement turns deadly and key players are eliminated in increasingly brutal fashion, Logan is pushed to the edge of vigilantism while the next generation of rebels, led by the silent and calculating Tilly, begins to rise. Rising Star II is a tense, emotionally charged sequel about legacy, consequence, and the war between personal justice and systemic failure.
